Selected topics in geometrical and physical optics are studied in detail to give both a knowledge of the basic phenomena associated with the propagation of light waves, and an appreciation of the design and limitations of optical instruments. Prerequisite(s): PHYS 1013 or PHYS 1053, MATH 1013.
