PHYS 3563
Cosmology
Modern cosmology entered a new era with the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope. This course investigates the hot Big Bang cosmological model in which our universe evolved from a dense, hot soup of elementary particles to being filled today with radiation, stars, galaxies, black holes, and dark matter. Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity is introduced. Prerequisite(s): PHYS 2113 or PHYS 2123, PHYS 2413 or PHYS 2423.
