Advanced Painting: Materials and Surface

Materials and Surface is an intermediate to advanced level course focusing on the exploration of the media and methodologies in painting. Students will continue to develop their visual and technical abilities by investigating mixed media, process, surface, collage, materiality, scale, and meaning in painting. Research and studio experimentation will be incorporated throughout the course to support student stylistic and conceptual expressions ranging from abstraction to figuration.
