Inclusive Infrastructures for Civil and Environmental Engineers

3 credits · Graduate

Placement and design of civil infrastructure, redlining, and other structural biases have built a legacy of neighborhoods and districts that require environmental and social justice, and with whom we can learn how to design and build more inclusive infrastructures. Given the importance of space and place in building personal relationships, and understanding the culture, history, and infrastructures of a neighborhood/district, the goal of this course would be to critically address how infrastructure projects can be conceived and designed to make societies more just, sustainable and equitable.
