EDUC 266C
School Site Finance and Resources II
This course is an introduction to school finance and budgeting, emphasizing the roles of principals as system-thinkers, as well as the connections to other school sites and district leadership. While issues of finance and budgeting are often discussed independently of instructional issues, this course is designed to demonstrate that skills to manage your budget are skills to lead your educational vision. Spending must be driven by considerations of teaching and learning; a budget is the financial embodiment of the instructional program, and should be developed to embody instructional, pedagogical, and reform objectives.
