EDUC R1A
Neurodiversity and Life Writing
How do you experience the world? How do you think and feel, sense and perceive? How do you connect and communicate with others? For neurodivergent individuals, the answers to those questions can be distinctly different from the expected norm. In this course, we'll step beyond the norm and follow neurodivergent authors as they guide us through their ways of being in the world. Reading auto/biographies and memoirs, you will join them in moments of sensory intensity and deep attunement with nature. They will show you new ways to connect with humans, animals, and objects. In holding the experiences of these authors in your hands, your closeness will create bridges across "the infinite variation" (Walker, 2021) of human minds.
