Case Studies in Bay Area Urbanism
Urban Design Seminar: Case Studies in Bay Area Urbanism will introduce students to a methodical practice of observing, documenting and comparing cases in urban design while also exhibiting regional innovative design examples. Students will see how to critically frame what they are currently learning in a manner appropriate for architectural historical practices. Further, this course’s content will widen the scope and scale of what students may consider as urban, illustrating what the Bay Area’s unique urban legacies have to offer as cases and discourses to the wider world.
