LDARCH 225
Landscape Materials and Site Technology
This course explores landscape materials and structures while developing essential graphic skills relevant to the design process from schematic design to construction documentation. The central focus of this inquiry is landscape as a physically constructed medium. Although expression within this medium takes many forms that are not necessarily constructed, the focus in this course is the technological and material substrate that supports landscape as a social, ecological, and spatial design practice. Special attention is given to the construction of sustainable landscapes through an understanding of materials and technology.
