The Haas Impact Fund course teaches students to be seed VC investors in impact sectors by serving as junior partners investing from our endowment. Students are placed in a team which relates to their interests and experience. Students work with the support of the instructors and mentors to navigate being a VC. Students build their team relationships, work together to identify a final company to pitch to the investment committee (VCs on Pitch Day). At the end of the semester each team presents the impact enterprise they have identified for investment to their classmates who score each investment opportunity.
