MCELLBI 210
Advanced Biochemistry and Molecular Biology: Macromolecular Reactions and the Cell
MCB 210 is an advanced course in biochemistry and molecular biology for first-year MCB graduate students. Our emphasis is on imparting a working knowledge of the principles and practical application of the various methodological approaches used to analyze and examine the function and mechanism of cellular macromolecules and macromolecular complexes in life processes, including DNA replication, recombination, repair and transposition, gene expression and its regulation, mRNA splicing, genome organization, roles of non-coding RNAs, protein synthesis, protein folding, degradation and quality control, signal transduction processes, cellular organelles and growth control.
