MECENG 208
Human-AI Design Methods
Hands-on study of human-centered and AI-augmented design methods for developing products, services, and systems. Students work in teams through opportunity identification, user research, synthesis, concept generation, selection, prototyping, testing, and communication. Structured assignments compare human and AI roles in design workflows and examine the capabilities, limits, and implications of generative and analytical AI. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based design practice, experimentation, teamwork, and critical reflection on technical, ethical, and social implications.
