Proseminar: Behavioral and Systems Neuroscience

This course approaches behavioral neuroscience from an ethological perspective. Topics may include levels of analysis, circadian rhythms, social behavior, foraging, song learning, optical and molecular tools, and animal models of substance use disorder. Students will be expected to perform close reading of primary literature. The class format will be discussion-based with some short lectures. Grading is based on participation and a final written exam.
