Mathematical models arising in finance and insurance. Compound interest, the time-value of money, annuities, mortgages, insurance, measures of risk. Introduction to stocks, bonds and options. Course Format: Lectures, lab, 4 hours per week. Prerequisite(s): One of MATH 1P01, MATH 1P05, MATH 1P60, MATH 1P97, MATH/STAT 1P98 Course Notes: This course may be offered in multiple modes of delivery.
