Academic Writing in Education

Focusing on students' writing skills, this course develops awareness of academic language genres, formal versus informal language use, as well as the skills required for researching and referencing academic work in written texts. The development of study skills and approaches that foster long-term academic success are integrated with academic language skills development. Prerequisite(s): Admission to Bridging to Community-Based BEd stream or consent of the program.
