Middle English Literature: The Canterbury Tales

A study of Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales in its social, cultural and historical contexts. Texts will be read in the original language and the course will include instruction in Middle English. Prerequisite(s): 45 units including 3 units of courses labelled English at 300 level or above.
