An examination of the drama of the seventeenth century, examining works written for both public and private theatres as well as for court performance. Will include plays from major writers of the period such as William Shakespeare, Ben Jonson, and Thomas Middleton. Prerequisite(s): 45 units including 3 units of courses labelled English at 300 level or above.
