A study of texts by Black authors in popular genres such as fantasy, detective/crime fiction, science fiction, satire, political thriller, historical fiction, canonical counter-discourse, graphic novels, horror etc. This course may focus on a single genre or feature texts from different genres. Prerequisite(s): 45 units, including 3 units of courses labelled English at 300 level or above.
