Field Methods and Safety

Focus on designing and performing field-based investigations; logistics of planning and running field activities; and field safety. Topics will include navigation, sampling, and field reports across a variety of topics within Earth, energy, and environmental sciences. NOT INCLUDED IN GPA. Notes: This course is primarily lecture-based with field trips, which may occur in rugged conditions and varying weather, for which participants must be prepared and equipped. A supplementary fee will be assessed to cover additional costs associated with this course. The course will typically be offered in Spring and/or Summer terms over a period of up to three weeks.
