Foundations of structural analysis, brittle and plastic deformation mechanism, quantitative assessment of rock deformation at various scales. Simple statistical analysis of data; applications to tectonic settings and the exploration of natural resources, cross-sections and advanced map interpretation; tectonics; neotectonics. Prerequisite(s): 3 units from Earth 340 or Geology 445. Antirequisite(s): Credit for Earth 440 and either Geology 541 or 555 will not be allowed.
