Investigating major upheavals in global systems throughout geologic time using paleoclimatic and paleontological data. How varying magnitudes and rates of change have affected climatic and biological systems. Morphology and taxonomy of fossil groups and geological applications. Prerequisite(s): 3 units from Earth 350, Geology 475, 493; 3 units from Earth 315 or Geology 323.
