Introduction to Algebraic Topology

An introduction to the algebraic invariants that distinguish topological spaces. Specifically, the course focuses on the fundamental group and its applications, and homology. Students will be introduced to the basics of homological algebra. Prerequisite(s): Mathematics 431; and Mathematics 445 or 447.
