Introduction to the Legal and Ethical Framework of Health Care in Canada

An introduction to two integrated aspects of health care in Canada: the legal dimensions and the ethical dimensions. No formal background or training in law or ethics is presupposed. Successful students will gain grounding in the ethico-legal complexity of health care and health research in Canada. Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Community Health Sciences graduate program. Antirequisite(s): Credit for Community Health Sciences 667 and Medical Science 645.17 (Intro Legal & Ethic Framework) will not be allowed.
