Old Norse II
The purpose of this course is to further develop the elementary reading skills acquired in Old Norse I. We will review some of the grammar from Old Norse I, cover additional grammar, and, through a primary focus on translation, develop a deeper understanding of how Old Norse grammar was used in practice. By the end of the semester, we will have translated the entire Icelandic saga, Hrafnkels saga Freysgoða.
