Product Management in the AI Era: Decision-Making for Entrepreneurs and Product Builders
Entrepreneurs and product managers must make consequential decisions quickly, often with incomplete information and competing priorities. This course builds the judgment, confidence, and adaptability needed to lead startups, products, and initiatives within established organizations. Through in-class exercises and team projects, students practice making and defending decisions about vision, strategy, design, product roadmaps, business models, metrics, go-to-market approaches, cross-functional leadership, and storytelling. Each topic explores key tradeoffs through practical frameworks, judgment, and product taste. As new information emerges and constraints shift, teams revisit decisions, examine assumptions, assess alternatives, and adapt. Discussions and debriefs emphasize agency, experimentation, customer focus, and collaboration. Students learn to make thoughtful, timely decisions under pressure and clearly communicate their reasoning while responding to uncertainty and balancing competing priorities across teams and stakeholders.
