Modern Chinese Fiction in Translation
Surveys modern Chinese fiction in translation. Samples are from the early 20th century through the contemporary era and include writers of the early Republic, the P.R.C., and Taiwan. Focuses on fiction as a vehicle for social change. All readings are in English.
