ANTH 2252
Gender and Global Health
This course examines the intersection of gender, health policy, and health care worldwide through an anthropological lens. We interrogate social, economic, political, and biological effects on their health. How does gender affect health across the life course? How does poverty, race, and discrimination play a role in people’s gendered well-being and health? Through a critical anthropological approach and through readings from across the sub-disciplines of anthropology, these and other topics will be addressed in this class.
