ARTS 1502
Painting I: Watercolor
Watercolor acts as a bridge between drawing and painting – exploring fluid dynamics and pigment through the study of color, space and the brush. Students will explore a variety of subjects such as still life, landscape, and the human figure; building a strong observational foundation. We will examine the medium's evolution by studying historical and contemporary examples and take part in regular group critiques - analyzing each other’s work in a collaborative environment. This course is designed for all skill levels, welcoming both beginners and those looking to refine their existing practice. This course is not available to audit.
