Advanced Beat Reporting

This class gives students advanced real-world skills that prepare them for a newsroom job directly after graduation. Students will hone interviewing techniques, mine documents, and learn beat-management and source development skills from some of the best reporters in the country. This hands-on class is heavy on coaching and peer review and mirrors the assignments that journalists face in newsrooms big and small.
