Low-Carbon Cities

This seminar explores the rapidly changing value proposition which delivers high-performance green buildings in the era of climate change. Coursework explicitly investigates how jurisdictions, investors, owners and tenants are tranforming the energy and emissions performance of the existing building stock and new buildings. Students will learn the linkages between planning, design, construction and building operations in terms of economic and environmental value. Prior completion of MPUP 540 is strongly recommended.
