Topics in Phil of Disability

The field of Philosophy of Disability involves the philosophical study not just of disability, but also of a range of related issues such as normality, enhancement, accessibility, human rights, and eugenics. This course will serve as an overview to the field through a focus on selected debates. Topics may include disability politics & the problem of debility, disability and enhancement, "causing" disability, disability and racialization, the mere- vs. bad-difference debate, disability and passing, phenomenology of disability, disability and the history of philosophy, disability and immigration, etc.
