Indigenous/Non-West Aesthetic

In this course, we will visit with central issues of aesthetics as the pertain to Indigenous and non-Western meaning-making and creative expression. Some practitioners, theorists, and activists whose work we will investigate include: Weshoyot Alvitre, Dayna Danger, Fritz Scholder, Jeff Barnaby, L. Frank Manríquez, Dion Kaszas, Jennifer Nez Denetdale, Gerald Vizenor, Dylan AT Miner, and many more.
