Environmental Policy Signature

This course provides a multi-disciplinary introduction to environmental policy, drawing from economics, political science, history, philosophy, the natural sciences, and more. Our aim will be to tackle the following seven questions together. (1) How has humanity re-shaped nature? (2) How have societies regulated their environmental impact? (3) How do we understand nature well enough to take action? (4) What are the values that motivate environmental policy? (5) What are the means of environmental policy? (6) How do environmental policies get made? (7) How do we evaluate environmental policies?
