El mundo de Guaman Poma

In this course, we will study Andean historiographer Felipe Guaman Poma de Ayala's magnum opus, the Primer nueva corónica y buen gobierno (1615), and the context in which he produced it. We will read the entire chronicle and some of the primary materials that influenced or intersected with it, along with relevant secondary materials.
