Digital Filmmaking

3 Credits · Level: Undergraduate

This course offers an introductory hands-on approach from screenwriting to acting for screen, you will learn techniques of digital filmmaking from pre-production to post! These technical processes will be taught using a workshop-model that puts the equipment in your hands and you will learn by doing. With each new tool/skill, there will be supplemental readings to theoretically support our creative practice. Each project is considered “iterative play” which means that the assignments will build upon each other and evolve throughout the timeline of the course. Students are to work collaboratively using the skills harnessed to create performances, short films, and other creative bodies of work that will lead to a cumulative final project.
