Enhancement of communication skills, proficiency, competence, and use of the language. Students will enhance and develop their ability to understand the spoken word and to converse on a variety of topics; discuss, narrate, and read authentic materials that cover a variety of issues and topics; e.g., educational, cultural, and factual; write short paragraphs; recognize and use grammatical rules in context; and expand cultural awareness through class discussion and reading materials.
