Coherent interactions of radiation fields and atomic systems. Introduction to nonlinear optics-second-harmonic generation. Parametric amplification, oscillation, and fluorescence. Third-order optical nonlinearities. Credit will not be given for both ECE 338 and ECE 438 . Prerequisites: ECE 203
