Use of computers to solve problems arising in systems engineering. Design and implementation of algorithms for systems modeling, systems design, systems analysis, and systems optimization. Computer systems, basic data structures, the design and implementation of efficient algorithms, and application of algorithms to the design and optimization of complex systems such as those arising in transportation, telecommunications, and manufacturing. Weekly laboratory with exercises and projects. Prerequisites: CSE 004 or CSE 007 or CSE 017
