Foundations of Music

This course explores the basic building blocks of music, music notation, and music performance. Students will learn how to read music, develop a basic understanding of rhythm, pulse, meter, and tempo, and sing simple melodies. This course is intended for students with little to no experience performing music from notated sheet music and students who have not recently performed in their high school or college music programs.
