Infant Cognition

4 Credits

What do infants perceive and understand about the world around them? Are they aware of shapes and colors, people and objects, or even mental and physical states? These fundamental questions have driven research in psychology, philosophy, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence for decades. But how do we systematically investigate them? In this class, we will explore key findings in infant cognitive development by reading empirical and theoretical research articles and analyzing the hypotheses, methodologies, and conclusions of this research.
