ARCH 4016
Querying Heritage
explores what is accomplished by the designation of archaeological sites, landscapes, traditions, buildings, or practices as heritage. What can this tell us about how we value some things above others? How are these questions being thought about in times of a planetary crisis? The course is of interest to students dealing with any form of heritage (natural and cultural), as well as with the ‘goods’ and ‘bads’ we are passing on to future generations.
