2.38
Engineering of Nanoscale Materials
Provides a comprehensive understanding of how materials behave, evolve, and can be engineered at the nanometer scale. Instruction provided in integrated understanding of how atomic behavior can be engineered through synthesis, structural design, and functional control in low-dimensional systems including 0D quantum dots, 1D nanowires/tubes, 2D atomic layers, and 3D nanomembranes. Provides both conceptual insight and experimental context to design and manipulate nanoscale materials for next-generation computing, display, AI hardware, and sensing technologies.
