Anthro-Engineering: From Lab to Land - Infrastructures of Climate Justice in the Pacific Northwest

3-0-9 units. HASS-S · Undergraduate

Examines emerging practices of climate action through the conceptual lens of infrastructures of climate justice. Introduces ethnographic approaches to better understand the challenges posed by climate change. Focusing on land-based perspectives rather than the scientific lab, examines how social justice is at the core of infrastructure (re)development and climate action through several interconnected case studies in the context of the Pacific Northwest bioregion. Student projects in collaboration with community partners will provide an opportunity for students to contribute to real world, community-led initiatives.
