Dance Concert
Students collaborate with theater and dance faculty and staff to create a fully-staged dance concert. Participants take on roles as performers, designers, writers, choreographers, and technicians, immersing themselves in the development of a dance-based performance. Weekly rehearsals, design labs, and workshops introduce various rehearsal and performance techniques. Those involved in design and technical aspects assist with research and technical support throughout the rehearsal process. In addition to weekly meetings, required out-of-class rehearsals and participating in the culminating public performances are integral components of the course. Exact dates available in the syllabus. Projects vary each term, reflecting diverse dance forms, and may be faculty-led, student-led with faculty guidance, or created with a guest artist. Open to all experience levels. Enrollment limited.
