Discussion involves a variety of formats, including table discussions, conversations with visiting speakers, debates, and role-playing. Introduces students to complex issues and to powerful, and even compelling, arguments on both sides. Aids first-year students in their exploration of different modes of inquiry belonging to different disciplines and introduces them to faculty from around the Institute and beyond.
