D-Lab: Climate Change and Planetary Health
Creates an empirical foundation to understand climate science, policy, and human behavior to enact a livable future through wide-ranging visioning of planetary health. Provides transdisciplinary opportunities for individual or team projects. Students develop community-oriented projects with a positive impact on climate and planetary health, learning methods to integrate metrics (e.g., greenhouse gas emissions, energy, and cost savings) into their social impact work to support organizations in championing climate, people, and planetary health. Projects are augmented by reflections on climate justice, humans' interdependence with the natural world, and the human-modified environment. Students taking graduate version complete additional assignments.
