Energy Storage and Conversion

3 credits

This course introduces the fundamental principles of Thermodynamics, Chemical Thermodynamics, and Electrochemical Thermodynamics as they apply to energy conversion and storage systems. Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of thermal, chemical, and electrochemical processes involved in modern power generation, energy transportation and storage technologies. Through analytical and design-focused learning, the course emphasizes the evaluation of energy efficiency, performance metrics, and environmental impacts. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to analyze, design, and assess a wide range of energy conversion and storage processes for engineering applications. ***Prerequisite ENER 201.*** **Corequisite: ENIN 355.**
