Original investigation under the supervision of a faculty member. A thesis describing the research is written and presented, and defended. ***Prerequisite: A minimum GPA of 70% and completion of 12-credit hours 300-level ESC courses, or permission of the Department Head.*** *Note: This course may be taken in one semester (as ESC 400AC or two consecutive semesters (as ESC 400AA and ESC 400AB).* *Note: Students may receive credit for one of ESC 400 or GEOL 400.*
