Digital Storytelling and Interactive Media

3 credits

This is a hybrid course, including lecture, studio and workshop times, wherein graduate students critically engage with the social, political, cultural, economic, and intersectionality of interactive media and digital storytelling. Students will work with practices of audio (i.e. audio walking tours, music recording, podcasting, radio programming), on-line interactive media, and immersive storytelling (i.e. web-projects, gaming, apps, etc.). Scholarly work on interactive media and digital storytelling as activism and strategies for social justice initiatives will be included.
