PAINTING BEYOND THE STUDIO
Paintings don't need to be on canvas. They don't need to be made in a studio. On occasion even paint is optional. In Painting Beyond the Studio, students will make site-specific paintings, big paintings, paintings that intersect with sculpture and performance, and collaborative paintings that take shape through many hands. Building off and moving beyond the foundations of Beginning Painting, this course continues to develop, deepen and expand the ways students think about and pursue painting.
