PROCESS MODELING AND SIMULATION
This course introduces undergraduate students to steady-state process simulation using Aspen Plus, one of the most widely adopted chemical process simulators in the chemical and energy industries. The course uses the modular and practical structure to guide students through simulation fundamentals, property estimation, flowsheet modeling, reactor and separator design, and capital cost estimation. Emphasis is placed on developing simulation literacy, critical process modeling skills, and engineering decision-making via case studies and open-ended design challenges.
